Come behind the scenes at Sew Caroline in Fort Worth, Texas and explore Caroline's gorgeous sewing room.

I love the bright light that the windows bring in. I hardly ever turn on the overhead light (except at night, of course!). Natural lighting feeds my soul!

Tell us about your space

My sewing studio is the second bedroom in our humble, two bed/one bath 1934 home. It is soley dedicated to sewing and crafting unless we have an out of town guest; then the couch folds out into a bed to house our friends or family. I sew, craft, and blog in this space - it is definitely the most used and most loved portion of our home.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

I have decorated my space with bright colors, and pretty things hanging on the wall. I also have a giant white desk that holds my sewing machines and other notions. I can move the machines out of the way to do computer work and/or other crafting work. I love that I have a couch in my studio. This way, my husband can come and hang out with me while I work at night!

How do you keep organized?

Ummmm.. not very well. BUT, the pegboard (painted aqua!) mounted behind my sewing desk serves as a giant organizational tool. It houses many of the essential tools I need during a project, so they're easy to see and easy to access.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

Supplies are hard because there are so many, they are so oddly shaped, and some are very small. Keeping up with them is almost as hard as organizing them! One tip, though, is to make sure each and every supply you own has it's own "home". That way you can find it and put it away easily. Much easier said than done, though, right?!

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

I have some magazine articles that have featured my projects framed as well as a giant REAL LIFE pinterest board in the form of a cork board! Those are my two favorite things hanging on the walls!

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

As mentioned above, I have a giant cork board that houses any and all inspirational things. I love how it is a center point in my sewing space!

Where do you look for inspiration?

I look everywhere! Nature is a huge source of inspiration for me, so I look outside, snap photos, etc. And I really try to keep my mind and eyes open at all times for creativity to jump out at me.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

I would have all white furniture, a room with 3 walls of windows, tons of space for annoyingly small supplies, and a giant cutting table in the middle. BUT, in reality, the sewing space I have now is pretty much a dream :)
