Mizna Wada is a Japan-based illustrator. She loves horror comics and horror movies from childhood. Drawing, Painting, Paper cut, Print Gocco, Cloth Doll... She make spooky and cute girls by using various techniques.



Have you always been creative and artistic?

Yes, from an early age, I was always drawing something. Paper and pencil is my oldest friend.

How would you describe the style of your work?

Spooky and cute, Humorous, Goth, Kawaii

What’s in your pencil case and what’s your favorite tool?

I don't have a pencil case. My favorite tools is 2B pencil, acrylic, black ink, dip pen... and I am continuing to search for new tool.

Who is your favorite superhero?

Atom Ant!

If you could have one super power what would it be?

Teleportation! I think that is very useful.

Where do you look for inspiration?

Everywhere, anytime. My everyday life, my memory, music, book, movie and manga... I am also inspired by various materials and tool.

Hideshi Hino, Fujio Fujiko, Shigeru Mizuki, Mineo Maya, Keiti Ohta, Edward Gorey, Tove Jansson
