1. 

   

   First, sort through scraps of fabric, fleece etc. left over from other projects....I always have plenty, I don't like to throw anything away!

2. 

   

   Make your pattern on cardboard by measuring your phone or i pod, adding half the depth, plus 1 cm, seam allowance + 1cm ease allowance.
   Round off bottom corners and leave top corners square..mine worked out 10cm x 17cm




3. 

   

   Now make another pattern piece the same width, but an extra third longer. Round off all four corners of this piece.
   Cut out the two cardboard pattern shapes

4. 

   

   Lay your pattern pieces on the reverse of the pvc fabric and mark all round with chalk.
   Repeat the process using lining material




5. 

   

   Using longest pattern piece, pin gathered lace all round as shown.
   Then sew lace in position, either by hand or machine, about quarter inch in from the edge

6. 

   

   Now place matching piece of lining on top, with lace snadwiched in between. Sew round three sides only. Leave one of short sides open for turning.

7. 

   

   With right sides together, pin lining to smaller piece, and sew all round three sides, 1 cm in from edge, leaving srtaight short side open for turning.

8. 

   

   You will now have two pieces like this

9. 

   

   Clip out little v shaped notches at curved areas as shown.
   Now take some polyester fleece ( wadding, quilting) cut to the same shape as the two pattern pieces. lay your sewn pieces on top. and attatch to fleece by sewing all round just outside the previously sewn seam with a small running stitch...I am not doing this by machine, as the fleece gets tangled up in the machine :(

10. 

    

    Now turn your pieces right side out through the open ends.
    Close the openings by folding over seam allowance to the inside, and stitching closed using ladder stitch

11. 

    

    Lay smaller piece on top like this, with linings touching, and pvc fabric to the outside

12. 

    

    Sew back and front of pouch together at edges as shown, using ladder stitch, or a small overcasting stitch

13. 

    

    Sew on little piece of velcro as a fastening

14. 

    

    Now when you close it, you can see some unsightly stitching....select some trims of your choice to cover this up...I used black and red ribbon bows and a ribbon rose
    Sew in position to cover stitching

15. 

    

    Thats it done!
    Wrap up to make a delightful little Christmas gift ( if you can part with it.....)
