Super Sexy Cd Wallet
This was an idea I came upon when we were shredding a load of discs at work, there were loads of left over CD wallets with Binding at the side. I decided I could put them all in a folder and cut it up!
Unfortunatly my brother had my camera whilst I was making this so I was unable to take pictures of the process, but i'll try to make it look good so you know what to do.

Place a wallet in the binder, make sure its straight.
measure 1.5cm from the top and bottom of the wallet, make a line across the inside of the folder + cut along this line.
Decide on how you want the wallet to close / if you want it to close.
(This will impact on how you cut the width down.
I wanted the back to fold over the front so i left the back at the length it was and cut the front down to approx 4cm from the edge of the wallet.
After this is down take out the wallet.
Now, it's time to cover the binder in newspaper.
Mix 2 parts pva glue with 1 part water to make a paste, tear the newspaper up into small pieces, and paste them on.
Cover all of the folder including the inside
(If you plan on covering the binder in fabric this may not be necessary)
This is now your blank canvas. Let your imagination run wild!
What I did was Paint the back any front panel white and the front and side blue.
Then with the help of masking tape, I painted blue stripes on the back.
This is down by placing the masking tape on the sections you don't want in blue, then painting over the gaps, (it helps to get straight lines).
I added the lace onto the blue sections using pva I used lines on the edges to secure the lace, and small dots of glue in the middle so its not too obvious it has been glued down.
I covered the inside in black cotton calico fabric as I had some spare from another project.
I then applied white bias binding around the edge using PVA.
(This way i didn't have to pay too much attention to the edges of the folder, as they are alway rather tricky to get neat)
I attatched my buttons to the front panel and added the ribbon to the front so i could close the CD Wallet.
Then as an added touch I put *** on the edges of about 5 wallets so that I could seperate my discs into sections.
